The Adam Road Food Centre located right beside College Green that is famous for the variety of food choices that it offers. Across the road from the Food Centre is the Serene Centre that houses McDonalds’ for the fast food lovers. Cold Storage (a departmental store) is located nearby. Further down the Bukit Timah Road, if one crosses the signal from in front of the Serene Centre, there is Coronation Plaza with its shopping centre & Fair Price (another departmental store). There is also a Starbucks & Pizzahut nearby.

Emergency Call Points (ECPs):

ECPs are installed at the fringe areas of BTC. Please refer to map. This is a SOS type of communication system. During an emergency, the ECPs allow staff and students to communicate with Security Officers directly via intercom. Each ECP has a strobe light with siren to scare off perpetrators and an intercom for complainants to communicate with the security officers on duty. When an ECP is activated, a camera will automatically zoom onto the ECP station to capture any evidence.

Contact the 24 hr Campus Security Hotline +65 6516 3636 to report suspicious characters, criminal activities or in an emergency
Wear the NUS staff / matriculation card or any identity provided to you at all times whilst at BTC
Be alert for suspicious or criminal activities and conditions
Carry a Personal Alarm Device (PAD). You can purchase these from Campus Security.
Use the recommended pathway
Lock the doors and windows when you leave your office
Do NOT travel alone at night
Do NOT leave your personal belongings (e.g.: laptops / handphones) unattended at ANY time
Do NOT pry open self locking doors or doors fitted with card access
Do NOT leave keys lying around in the offices and study tables
DO NOT hand over Cash and/or Valuables to strangers.
